Trade shows and conferences are included in Rockstoc’s annual calendar of activities as an important way to keep our finger on the pulse of the jewelry industry. While attending trade shows requires the investment of a considerable amount of time and expense, they reward us with the opportunity to reconnect with manufacturers, designers, and suppliers in the trade while keeping us abreast of the hottest up and coming trends in jewelry design.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, the Atlanta Jewelry Show in October was one of our first trade shows of  2020. The show’s coordinators did an amazing job of organizing safety measures for those in attendance, and spirits were high as merchants enjoyed the opportunity to display their goods in a face-to-face environment. Vendors exhibited a wide array of loose gems, finished jewelry pieces, packaging, and tools to buyers eager to prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Participants were screened daily for Covid symptoms, and social distancing protocols were incorporated throughout the event. COVID-19 has brought a new reality to the world, but the Atlanta show was an encouraging indicator of the ways in which the new normal can be carried out with success.
